Accessibility Statement
Our commitment to an inclusive experience for every visitor. Effective Date: August 16, 2026
Our Commitment
The Move Genie (themovegenie.com) is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the experience for everyone and applying relevant accessibility standards as the site grows.
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities, and accessible content is generally more usable for everyone.
Measures We Take
- Providing text alternatives (alt text) for meaningful images
- Structuring content with proper heading hierarchy
- Ensuring pages and interactive elements (the state map, search, calculator, navigation menus) are usable by keyboard alone
- Using sufficient color contrast for readability
- Writing descriptive link text so screen readers convey the destination clearly
- Respecting reduced-motion preferences — for example, the homepage image carousel does not auto-advance for visitors who have that setting enabled
Known Limitations
This site is actively being built out. Some sections are still in progress, and not everything has been audited for accessibility yet. We are working through this as the site develops.
